MONOCALCIUM PHOSPHATE (MCP)

Monocalcium phosphate (MCP) (Ca(H2PO4)2) is a white or grey powder in small granules, with good solubility in water, with medium hygroscopic property. Produced from specially prepared (fluorine-free) wet-process phosphoric acid and calcite material. MCP is used as a food additive for domestic animals and birds. Food containing MCP provides animals with calcium and phosphorus, which promotes forming hard bone stock and skeleton, improves functions of animal organism, metabolism, and function of nervous, immune and reproductive systems, increasing its productivity. Mineral additives of such compounds are especially recommended for feeding herbivorous animals.
